Email this article  Printer friendly page
Ingredients
1 bunch kale (about 1 pound), stems trimmed, leaves chopped

1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil

2 garlic cloves, minced

1/2 teaspoon dried, crushed red pepper

2 teaspoons oriental sesame oil

2 teaspoons sesame seeds, toasted

DIRECTIONS:

Bring 1 1/2 cups water to boil in heavy large Dutch over high heat. Add kale cover and boil until almost tender, stirring occasionally, about 4 minutes. Uncover, cook until liquid evaporates, about 3 minutes. (Can be made 4 hours ahead. Cover; let stand at room temperature.)

Heat olive oil in heavy large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and dried red pepper flakes; saute 1 minute. Add kale; saute until heated through, about 3 minutes. Transfer to bowl. Drizzle with sesame oil and toss to coat. Season with salt and pepper. Top with sesame seeds.
